Wanderlust Travel Nurse (aka Daniele Clarissa) has passed the 1400 mile point on the 2650 mile Pacific Crest Trail.

As usual Daniele has provided some truly remarkable insights and pictures from her hike.  2017 has proven to be one of the toughest years for hiking the PCT because of the late extreme snow conditions, but regardless Daniele has kept going.

We strongly encourage readers to check her latest blog.  Here's an extract following her crossing of Bear Creek which is said to be one of the scariest and most dangerous water crossings along the PCT.

I didn’t get to camp until 845 pm. When I finally rested my head on my pillow, I felt as if I had been to battle. My body ached, I had poison oak or poison something or another, I had abrasions all over my legs and a huge one on the back on my thigh, .............. I felt as if I had won the battle. I felt like a badass
